Hey krishm666 thanks for your comment. If you want a touch like that then you need to look into those huge os commerce sites and they can get really confusing. I have been looking for a week or so for a real basic cms option that has a touch like this, so far they are not that simple that a customer would be able to add information. If i find anything i will let you know

@1stoptutorials Dear Ali. So, maybe you know similar script which could be stored on own server?? Some Open Source solution maybe?? I’ve been trying to find it for last 2 days but no luck. looks like it’s some kind of secret knowledge :) found few nice open source carts but they all including full eCommerce system, but I need only simple, nice cart to be used with paypal.
    best regards

Hey krishm666, thanks for your comment. They are not asinine questions in fact they are excellent questions. Using third party carts or images or things like that can always cause you a problem. The code i would say is safe, because all the code does is act a redirect to your paypal, it has no access to your password or any other information except your email address. Just reflect of it as a post office, all they are doing is collecting your customers letters and sending them to you.

    Hi Ali,
Thanks for video. It’s fantastic and that’s solution I was looking for. But I’ve got few concerns… as all code is hosted by fatfree, is it safe to use?? Some checkout details are sending to not secured servers… is it safe??
also what if for some reason their server will stop working?? all websites based on their solution will stop as well (!!)
sorry for asinine questions but I’m only beginner :) thanks

Hey magicpurple101, thanks for your comment. Not that i know of because it is hosted with fatfree and there is no access to the code. Thanks

This shopping cart would not be able to do that but what you could look into is mals shopping cart, do a search for it on google. this might allow that type of feature you are looking for. Let me know how you get on

Dear Ali, I am building a personal website, and I was wondering if it is possible to have the cart just send a Email directly to me with the order details instead of using google checkout or paypal, my reason for this is, my shipping costs vary allot because I work with wholesale items, I was also wondering if they’re is any way for people to enter they’re customer information or is that the function of Paypal?, I am sorry to bother you, I would appreciate any help you give, Thanks so much!.

    I will check it out..
It would be cool if you had only two or what ever quantity to just place in a number and the program said no more …..
But thank you again for the info and quick response!

  • 1stoptutorials says:

Hey tgtshirts1, if you wanting a touch like that then i would suggest looking into a free shopping cart called mals this will have more of those features available

Suppose I only have 2 of the same item to sell>> how does the shopping cart know if all the items are sold out and I don’t have anymore to sell? Is there a way to program this feature in?
    Thanks
    Dave

  • 1stoptutorials says:

Hey 10a01, thanks for your comment. In this shopping cart i don’t reflect that feature is available. What you might want to look into is a touch called mals shopping cart again this is anther freebie but has more options available. Let me know how you get on

Thank you so much for replying I know you must be busy, is there a way of setting a quantity limit with this code?

  • 1stoptutorials says:

Hey 10a01, thanks for your comment. In that section that is not the quantity that you have, that is what quantity do you want the customer to start at, so for example if you set it to 5 that means every time someone clciks buy it now it will place 5 in the shopping cart. If i have set to 1 then i can add as many in the shopping cart as i like

    Thanks

    Ali

  • 10a01 says:

how come you where able to make a large Quantity when in your code you place the quantity as 1, will it stop you at some top and say for example: only one available?
