The one I’m working with is PS10. There are some things I always do when I open PS and I would have a lot more fun using the program if I could make them presets. They are:
1. Replacing the background layer with an unlocked, normal layer.
2. Making several layers on top of that.

The panel bin is also much wider than I need it to be and I would like to make it thinner.

If PS doesn’t come with these options pre-installed, what can I download, or how can I alter the files to meet my needs?

If there is absolutely no way to make this possible, then is there a program other than PS that WILL do all these things?

An answer to any of these would be greatly appreciated.

Photoshop 10? Do you mean Photoshop Elements 10?

Elements is more of a consumer product whereas Photoshop is a professional product. Photoshop allows many more advanced settings and features including recording your own actions/batch processes. Elements doesn’t allow this customizable/recordable feature (at least last I checked it didn’t). But perhaps someone created a downloadable action file (.atn) for this specific purpose.
